Trails!

This week at Parkman Hill Farm, the Somerset Woods team has made great progress at installing signage and a bench on our first official trail in the Northeast meadow adjacent to the Farm House boasting scenic views of the property, the sprawling woods of Solon, and if the weather is right, Lake Wesserunsett! Soon, we will install a picnic table at the overlook to encourage you to stop and appreciate the view.

Additionally, several members of our dedicated board undertook the task of disassembling the rotting back porch so that it could be replaced and become a focal spot of the property for community gatherings. Finally, with the help of our incredibly passionate volunteers, we’ve made great progress in clearing portions of the former ski trail and plan to re-open College Ave, as well as a series of additional loops and ski trails throughout the southern side of the property. If all goes according to plan, expect to see the Parkman Hill ski trail re-opened this winter! - Ayden
