  • Weston Woods & Waters, Madison

    Miles of trails through 325 acres of woods along the Kennebec River. Trailheads are located on Route 43 and Weston Ave.

  • Jacobs' Pines, Madison

    A smaller trail network featuring George Jacobs’ majestic pines, accessed from Lower Mills Road in East Madison

  • Jackson Woods, Madison

    Come explore the fields and forests donated by Alfred Jackson. No managed trails, but hundreds of acres open for exploring.

  • Coburn Woods, Skowhegan

    Named in honor of Louise Coburn, founder of Somerset Woods, Coburn Woods offers miles of trails for walking and mountain biking on 300 acres. Trailhead parking on Russell Road.

  • Taylor Field, Skowhegan

    Purchased in 2012, Taylor Field hosts heirloom apples and grain plots. A mowed path connects to to the Coburn Woods trails. Foot access from Norridgewock Ave. across from the Margaret Chase Smith Library.

  • Philbrick Trails, Skowhegan

    Trailhead parking on Joyce St., offering access to the paved, ADA Debe Riverwalk Trail and the 34-acre Philbrick Trails. Note, the Philbrick Trails are not an accessible trails system.

  • Eaton Preserves, Skowhegan

    Located at the intersection of East River Road and Eaton Mountain Road, these two preserves offer a small network of loops (Eaton Ridge) or an out-and-back to the Kennebec (Eaton River).

  • Wesserunsett Stream Preserve, Skowhegan

    Trails over diverse terrain offer access to and views of the stream. Trails not suitable for skis, bikes or strollers. Trailhead and parking on Evergreen Dr.

  • Canaan Bog Preserve, Skowhegan

    These winter-only trails pass over wetlands and along the forest edge of an expansive bog complex. The trailhead and parking are located at the utility corridor on East River Road.

  • Parkman Hill Farm, Solon

    Somerset Woods has a new home! Come explore 650 acres of fields and forest on Parkman Hill Road in South Solon. Two marked trails, miles of olds woods roads to explore. Visit our office at 380 Parkman Hill (the yellow house and red barn) from May to October.
