Saving Beauty: a land trust art show starts May 29, 2015 with a Wine & Cheese Opening at the Canaan Farmers Hall

“How do the lakes, forests and rivers of inland Maine inspire your work?

Twenty Maine artists respond to this question by submitting work to the 1st land trust art show at the Canaan Farmers Hall, 296 Main St. in Canaan, coordinated jointly by Somerset Woods Trustees and Sebasticook Regional Land Trust called “Saving Beauty”.

The show opens to the public with a Wine and Cheese Party on May 29th from 4:30 – 6:30 pm at the Canaan Farmers Hall, 296 Main St., Canaan.

The show will be open to the public Saturdays - May 30 & June 6 from 10-6pm and Sundays - May 31 and June 7 from 12 noon to 5pm.

On June 6 – at 10am there will be a Bird Walk at Lake George Park on the Canaan side and at 2 pm at the Canaan Farmers Hall - Dr. Allan Fuller will offer a talk called “Paddling the Waterways of Central Maine”.

On June 7 – 2pm, there will be a Round Table Discussion with some of the artists at the Canaan Farmers Hall. All events are free and open to the public.
